To be eligible for the Burchfield Penney Art Center's Art In Craft Media exhibition, artists must be current or past residents of Western New York state (Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans, Wyoming, and Monroe Counties).
Works in craft media (including but not limited to glass, fiber, wood, clay, and metal) which have been completed in the past two years will be considered. The deadline for entries is 5pm, June 16th, 2023. Late or incomplete entries will not be considered.
Contemporary work will be selected on the basis of quality, uniqueness, originality, and aesthetic integrity. All selections are made by the 2023 Juror, and all decisions are final. The Burchfield Penney curatorial staff has the right to remove any work that is not in proper presentable condition, or is not as presented in the submission images. The selected work must be available for the duration of the exhibition. The artist cannot provide a substitute for selected work.
Selected artists are reponsible for shipping or delivering their work to the Burchfield Penney Art Center,located at 1300 Elmwood Avenue, in Buffalo, NY, 14222.
